Sunday

I received my phone call from the Miners Hall on Wednesday afternoon, confirming filming for Sunday. Someone is coming to open and lock up for me, so I think that that is extremely kind and thoughful, giving up part of their Sunday to help with me with my media a-level.

I am going to re-print the actors lines and make sure that they learn them for Sunday. In terms of props, I am going to have:

- Ipad (For Jo to use as information for the suspects)
- Whisky and glasses

I am going to record the naration seperately as well, so that I can layer up the tracks for the montage sequences. I also have improvements to make to the editing which is all explained in Mr Earl's comments in my rough edit, however I will ensure that more is done to get it to the best possible standard. There are just tweaks on the saturation, edits which are too jarring need sorting out and audio etc.

I am also going to record Jo in the shot for all of the montage sections, therefore allowing me to use them if need be, as for the rough edit, I only used a few.

I think it's time to just get filming and see how it goes, therefore then i'll know how many CU's that I need to get etc.

I am going to get more distant shots and then move in closer as the suspence builds up and I am going to use more static shots, rather than pan etc.

Another thing which I will look at is the depth of field settings on my camera, to see whether it is possible for me to get the figure in shallow focus etc.

Tomorrow before filming, I will rewatch the openings of different James Bond films, inlcuding Casino Royale and Skyfall.

The track is pretty much done for the opening sequence, so I will get it chopped down to the part that I will use and send it over to James Corker to use as a guide track. The vocals just need to be recorded, however it's hard to find the time to get them done, so I will also arrange that this weekend.

I am happy with how this is going, however I can't wait to get it all finished so that I can reflect back on it in my evaluation.

  1. I'm so pleased that the Miner's Hall has agreed to let you film there! I think it will fit in perfectly with your ideas. From what I can see, you seem to know exactly what you're doing and I'm sure you will create an absolutely fantastic "Bond" style film!
