After feedback from my evaluation ideas, I have decided to post a more detailed plan of my evaluation ideas:
1. I was going to use comparisons from Casino Royale etc and compare them against my film with a voiceover commentary, also including clips of my own film. Here, I will show a range of comparisons, including: shots, music, action etc, showing things like the Casino Royale toilet scene and my toilet scene, the style of my music that is played, including the incidental music and also the action will fit into the shots as there will be action going on during the shots.
2. I am going to show the different characters and include a voiceover commentary explaining myself. Here, I will compare screen shots from my research such as Trainspotters as there are a variety of different social groups represented during the opening of that.
3. I was going to produce a written piece for this, showing screen shots of the Columbia ident etc, however I might do a voice commentary instead, I haven't decided. Here, I will also provide examples of the films that're supporting by the same institution as my film, showing that my research reflects my finished production.
4. I was going to interview Laurene (main character) for this question, asking what he thinks the audience would be for this type of film. During Laurene's interview, I am going to include facts and figures during his interview from Box Office Mojo, showing that my research has been conducted and that it reflects WHY I chose the genre that I did.
5. I was going to interview Smashup Frobo (Paul Soler) for this question, asking him to talk about the genre etc, explaining how such action could bring about possible interest. This will flow on from the last question as figures will also be discussed here, explaining why audiences want to watch action films, shown with supporting evidence.
6. Here, I was going to produce a blog entry with audio comparisons, and also interview Paul Soler, who has helped me with the audio, explaining how he has changed things etc, also including screen grabs (hopefully), or maybe just a voiceover.
7. For the last question, I was going to interview myself in a way, explaining the question in full. Here, my research will be brought it throughout.
SO...now it's just a case of planning out my interviews and getting my evaluation underway.
UPDATE ON THE AUDIO
I was speaking to Paul who helped my improve my audio and he said that we could just pull up the volume of the speaking over the top of the montage sections and see how much difference that makes...if it doesn't make much difference, I will then have to place voiceovers over the top, which is no problem.
I hope to have this done by the end of the week, enabling me to start my evaluation over the holidays.
Hope my evaluation sounds more detailed than the last post!
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Looks fine - the main thing to make sure is that for each of your sections you clearly explain why, based on the project you created and the research you did. Everything needs to be clearly justified, supported by evidence.
