Just finished filming scene 1 and part of scene 2. It was definitely harder than I thought!
I have learnt that I need to do a run-through of the whole thing before actually filming. I came across a few problems as a result.
During filming the garage scene, we were using a spotlight and the camera wasn't adjusting to the light very well. After filming for about 10 minutes, the light was beginning to dim and it was dying, which certainly wasn't planned! So, this is when we had to stop filming and come inside.
I was hoping to get all of the footage filmed tonight, however the light was an issue as the spotlight died.
Overall, the lighting was a major problem and I found a perfect setting on the camera, however it wouldn't let me record on that setting, so I had to record on another setting where the light wasn't good at all. I really wasn't impressed with that and I had no idea how to record on the setting that was perfect for the setting. This is a problem that I will have to solve in the future. I am going to speak to Mr Earl tomorrow and ask what the problem is and see why I couldn't press record on that particular setting.
I am coming back to the apartment tomorrow to finish the rest of the filming and I will make sure I film quick enough so that the spotlight won't die.
I will update you tomorrow and let you know if I overcome any of the problems that have occurred tonight.
