Whilst planning at the weekend, I had a few problems with the task. I wasn't sure where I would shoot my footage, so I made sure that I researched into it.
The script says that number 2 enters a metal door and I was struggling with the process of finding a metal door. My boyfriend suggested that I use his family-farm as a location to film a large metal door, however the transport was going to be an issue as it would take too much time out of my schedule.
After thinking of different locations, I thought of the idea to use my grans garage door, which opens when you click a button and it slides upwards, which would create great suspence.
After thinking of the idea of using my grans gargage door for the metal door, I realised that the lights would be a problem when the garage door opens as the lights come on automatically when it's dark outside. I wanted to shoot as it was getting dark, to create the right effect. To overcome this problem, my gran contacted the person in charge of the apartment block (Eric) and she asked him if there was any possible way that the lights could be turned off. After he looked into it, my gran contacted me and we are able to control the lights.
I have now realised that the lights won't be a problem and they can just stay on, however if I do need to turn the lights off at any time, I can.
Let's hope that everything goes to plan when I come to filming it!
I have scouted out my location, and I am going to use a woodland area with idilic scenery, so there will be a contrast between the man in the suit (number 2) and the location - this will add great effect.
I shall feedback to you when I have more ideas and I start the shooting process!
